Outdoor Classroom

The parents of Oriole Park School worked hard to make this outdoor classroom. We broke it in today as Mrs. Urbinati's class had music outside. They enjoyed the bleachers which are roomier than the ones in the music room. They sounded good out there too as they sang the school song and other music class favorites.

Mr. Tom Skupien

This year the music room will feature a student teacher, Mr. Tom Skupien. Mr. Skupien will be here until Christmas break. We are looking forward to what he brings to our school.

Mr. Skupien plays a lot of instruments including guitar, bass, violin, sax and clarinet. He will be working with the Concert Band and the OPS Rockers along with being there when your class goes to music.

Welcome Mr. Skupien!

July 4th Parade

The Concert Band will be a marching band on July 4th. The band members should meet in Oriole Park by diamond #7 at 9:00 a.m. Don't forget your t-shirts! If you have red pants that would be nice.

We did this last year and it worked very well. This year we will be playing the song Yankee Doodle.

June 8 Concert.

The Oriole Park Concert Band and the OPS Rockers will be performing in a school concert on June 8th. The details are not final, but we are looking at three performances during the school day. Today in ensemble practice the Concert Band practiced Oriole Park, 12 Bar Blues and In The End by Linkin Park.

The OPS Rockers are working on an original song written by Mallory Coakley. Exaggerated Truth, the 8th grade rock band, is working on Stand By Me by Ben E. King. Both rock bands will play at the school talent show on May 20th.
